There's nothing like reading an old treasured book! Bob Giannetti, owner of Bob’s Olde Books in Lewiston, will present an entertaining and informative program about his three decades of experience collecting and dealing in antiquarian books.
Is a book valuable just because it is old? Just what does constitute a rare book? How is it valued? What basic collecting principles need to be observed?
Along with addressing these topics Bob will provide a brief overview of the history of book manufacture and discuss the place of physical books in our digital world. A number of examples of fine old books will be exhibited, including many dealing with Lewiston and Western New York.
