The YMCA puts Christian principles into practice that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all people, with special emphasis on character and asset development. ''Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility''. The YMCA of Lockport is a community-based organization whose emphasis is on service to people. Over 11,000 different people came to the YMCA to better themselves spiritually, mentally and physically in 2009.
